How it Works

Step 1

Consultation & Match

Schedule an initial consultation

All prospective clients are invited to schedule a complimentary 30-minute phone or video consultation. The goal of this conversation is two-fold: to provide you with advice on what you can be working on now – and for us to learn more about you, to better match you with your AcceptU counselor.

Step 2

Getting Started

Figure out a plan of action

Discuss a plan of action with your AcceptU counselor, who will make recommendations on academic advising, extracurricular/summer/research activities and standardized test strategy. Your AcceptU counselor will also provide a schedule to guide you through the application process.

Step 3

Counseling

Complete primary application

Your AcceptU counselor will support your primary application, including school list, strategy, brainstorming and editing of your personal statement, extracurricular/meaningful activities section, letters of recommendation and CV/résumé.

Step 4

Counseling

Complete secondary applications

Your AcceptU counselor will guide you through your secondary applications, including strategy – how to best position or differentiate yourself from other applicants – as well as brainstorming and editing of all essays.

Step 5

Submit

Submit and get accepted

Your AcceptU counselor will complete a final application review and prepare you for interviews. Then, once the decisions are released, your counselor will help guide you to the best option for you, considering the best fit for your career goals.

Success Stories

AcceptU counselors have helped clients get accepted to dozens of medical schools, including all of the top 25 programs. Here are a few of their stories.

Michele

There’s so much involved with applying to medical school and the process can be really competitive. My AcceptU counselor played such a critical role in my success, helping me figure out what programs to apply to and how to best “package” myself.

As an applicant, you often want to write essays about what you think admissions officers want to hear. This isn’t the right approach. My counselor helped me find my true voice and passion and showed me to how to articulate this in my essays. I honestly feel that it was my essays that helped me stand out and enabled me to get admitted to two out of my three top choices.

Yuri

A lot rides on the medical school interview. It’s the last step in the process and there’s a great deal of pressure to act the right way and say the right things. Working with AcceptU ensured that my interviews would go as well as they could.

My counselor helped me think about how to approach my interviews – what aspects of my background and profile I should highlight to the admissions committee and how to clearly express my interests in my intended specialization (internal medicine). Probably most beneficial were the mock interviews that placed me into a realistic scenario and allowed me to practice my responses. I’m so happy with how my interviews went and feel they helped me get admitted.
