Planning + Applying (Standard)

Our Planning & Applying college counseling program provides comprehensive support for students beginning in grade 9 or 10. The Planning program will enable your child to build a strong foundation for success in the future application process. Your Standard counselor will cover:


• Academic interest exploration, including iStartStrong assessment testing
• Academic advising/course selection
• Extracurricular profile development
• External academic opportunities/academic competitions
• Summer activity planning
• Preliminary college visits
• Diagnostic testing (SAT/ACT) and score assessment
• Financial aid planning


Beginning in grade 11, we will embark with you on the more formal steps of the college admissions process with our Applying program. Your Standard counselor will provide you and your child comprehensive, all-inclusive support, covering all relevant admissions topics, including:

• Admissions strategy/strategic planning
