One of the most important parts of the college application process is creating a balanced list, full of schools that a student would actually want to attend if accepted. As part of our four-part series on different categories of colleges and universities, we introduce you and your child to the University of California (UC) system. As the largest state system in the country, each of the 10 campuses attract students not only from California, but from all over the world. Join us as we highlight the top UCs, how the process is different as an out-of-state student, what type of student attends UCs and what admissions officers are looking for in an application.
